Notes:

Two bifolia removed from Savile N. 12 (Petrus Nonius, etc., 1573), where they were in use as binding leaves (Oxford binding, s. xvi ex.). Ker, Pastedowns, no. 1454.

Presumably the copy seen at Balliol by Leland (Collectanea 4, 61).

The combination of roman hand and English ornament suggests a close relation with Balliol MSS. 287 (part) and 310 – both given to the College by Richard Bole, archdeacon of Ely – which stand next to the Mapheus Vegius in Leland's list.
