MSS. 227 and 228 were written in the Oxford convent, but it is probable that MS. 227 at least was at the York convent at the dissolution. For the colophons in these MSS. written mainly in the Oxford convent by Wm. Vavasour see under Oxford Franciscans. W. V. was warder of the York Grey Friars at the dissolution and MS. 227 belonged to Christopher Thurske and was acquired by John Dee at York in 1569.
